Meet Ohio’s #1 Common Core Lobbyist: Gates Gal Lisa Gray – Part I
Have you wondered where your legislators get their “information” on Common Core and why they sound more like Bill Gates’ representative than yours? Here’s the answer; Lisa Gray, the Gates Foundation’s Ohio Advocacy Consultant. She is currently the Project Director of ‘The Ohio Standard Coalition’, a group formed in response to Ohio parents successfully waging war against Common Core and the introduction of the initial repeal bill, HB237. This is standard MO for Gates. In fact, it was such a G-Team effort that Battelle for Kids registered the Ohio Standard web address and handled the press release, and their first newsletter listed the Ohio Business Roundtable’s Columbus office as the coalition’s mailing address (HT MediaTrackers.org).
Below is the email sent to all House Members a few hours after the Committee voted 7-2 to send Sub HB597 to full House.

Members of the Ohio House of Representatives-
Today, the Ohio House Rules and Reference Committee voted to favorably recommend to the full Ohio House Am. Sub. H.B. 597, a bill that seeks to repeal and replace Ohio’s New Learning Standards.
In response to today’s decision, the Ohio Standard Coalition prepared the attached document on Am. Sub. H.B. 597. In addition, also please find our fact sheet on the hearing that occurred on October 14, 2014. We continue to oppose Am. Sub. H.B. 597 and encourage you to oppose the bill as well.
The Ohio Standard Coalition represents a broad-based group of organizations that support Ohio’s New Learning Standards and oppose Am. Sub. H.B. 597.
Please review these documents and contact me should you have any questions.
